Random events...

A couple pictures and words for some recent happenings...

We got a large helping of snow late this week and the smaller roads near our house hadn't seen a plow yet. 

Went out to a local bar, the Taproot, to check out some live music. It was a good show at a great, small venue, good beer selection as well. 

Here is Jes deep in conversation with a Yeti. 

We stopped by the start of the Iron Dog and poked around, here is Jes and Michelle at the starting line. 

The whole event was held on frozen Big Lake, lots of noise, sled necks, and snow machines.

And for the truly random, there had been an ongoing yardsale on the Parks Highway going north. We stopped by to see what it was all about.

We met the proprietor, a nice guy who homesteads out in the bush. He said that he just been shut down by the City but we could help ourselves to anything we liked. We only took pictures.

Kyle and I went down to Alyeska on Saturday for some downhill skiing. The weather cooperated fully with clear skies and visibility for miles.
