Max is starting to experiment with coffee. It's a slow process, very slow, and the stage we are at now is the empty coffee cup. So far it's been going well.
Our friends Chase and Isabelle visited us a while back and we took them down to Kincaid Beach. Kevin, Michelle, Elsa, and Waylon came along as well. A gorgeous day topped off with some great rock throwing.
Max really likes being outside and he's noticing things all the time. It's a bit tough to see but here, Max has identified what appears to be an earthworm. It needed a closer inspection.
He's also getting pretty into tight spaces. Here he has managed to squirm his way behind the chair, between the book shelf and the wall. Well done.
And he still loves his Adirondak chair and yogurt.
Our friend Kate and her mom visited recently. We took them to the Alaska Native Heritage Center where we met some sled dogs. Don't let the below photo fool you, Max loved the dogs. What's happening is that he sees another dog and wants that one in his lap as well. As long as the first puppy has his paw on Max, he's free to try and get more dogs to come over.
Walking can be tiring.
The coffee experiment continues.
We've made a couple trips to the local awesome playground. Here, Max wonders aloud who is driving this thing. His playground buddy thought Max was driving it.
On sunny days, there's a lot of chalk and driveway time.
For documentation purposes, here's what our living looks like typically.
The canoeing has been good as well, here we slip down a slough off of Sand Lake. Max pointed out all the dogs, airplanes, and other items of interest. Fun fact, we saw a beaver a bit later!
Max is pretty non-stop and so is summer but every once and while, he snuggles up for a break. Great stuff.
