Some more random images...

Cleaned the camera today and there were some gems on there...
Arthur getting attacked by a mountain lion.
Back in the early spring, the tree in front of our house blossomed for a solid week.
Denver on my way to school.
I love these murals. They are just off the Cherry Creek trail under a bridge.
Yep, they're fantastic.

Some more random happenings...

Things have been hectic with school finishing up and work piling on but we've managed some fun stuff lately...
...spring has sprung and our crabapple tree in the front yard is blooming.
Ryan and Kathleen, friends from college, came through town and visited. We got out to Clear Creek for a solid day of climbing with some friends.
And we got in some family time, heading over to Renia's for an Easter lunch, an egg hunt, and some relaxing in the sun.

...and evenings out to Little Man for ice cream are in order.

It's summer... almost

As we get closer to summer, the days get longer and so do the chances of getting some climbing in post-work/school. Zac, Tom, and I made it out to Clear Creek Canyon yesterday evening for a quick session.
Tonight we'll be grilling some salmon and playing softball, pics to come.
Cheers.

Happening about this old house

Well, it's been a while and quite a bit has happened and here's the most recent...
We have some visitors in our yard, yep, a garter snake. We did a bit of yard maintenance and this guy showed up, pretty neat.
Arthur got a girlfriend... or he hopes to have a girlfriend. One of the cats that roam the neighborhood seems to enjoy hanging about our house. She's very friendly, named Gigi, and Arthur is interested.
Stanley has also checked things out but seems a bit aloof.
We've slowly been making improvements to our crib. We recently added all of the stuff you see above...
...to the backsplash above the sink (Jes modeling what it will look like, well done)...
... and there it is installed. Hi-ya!
When a break is needed, we've been catching quite a few Denver Nuggets games. We were fortunate enough to be there on Rocky's, the Nuggets mascot, birthday. He celebrated by becoming giant inflatable Rocky.
And he invited all his other giant, inflated mascot buddies too.
It was awesome.
That's it for now, cheers,

Janet's Cabin

This past weekend, Jes and I joined some friend's at Janet's Cabin, a 10th Mountain Division cabin just south of Copper Mountain.
A bit of early morning packing at Copper and we were on our way.
The hike up was fantastic, the cabin, even better, but in the frenzy of people, food, and drinks, I only managed to take a few pictures... and all of those pictures were on the Sunday hike I took with Ryan and Turtle to Jacques Peak.
Ryan, genuinely trying to find out where to go. The hut is down the hill to the right.
We reached Searle Pass and stopped for some food.
A bit more walking got us to the Jacques Ridge. Jacques Peak is the highest point in the background.
A bit of steep hiking and...
We made it to the top. Great hike, great weather, and great company.

Some random happenings...

It's been a busy time over here but we've managed to get out a bit. For Thanksgiving, we went to Jes's folks' house out in Glenwood Springs.
Here Connor is patiently waiting for his helping of the Thanksgiving dinner.
I got out to Clear Creek for a spot of climbing. Great weather and friends made for a good day outside.
Cheers,
